DarkLight (a.k.a Pedestals)

This is a blog to keep track of the development of my graduate thesis. It involves the production of a three-minute animated short film with a dissertation on its subject matter and idea development.

Darklight has a chequered past. It was originally called Pedestals and has since then been revamped and rewritten to make the story more streamlined.

One of the first women in the Pakistani 3D Animation industry, I have been working as a Character Animator and Rigging Artist since 2003. I earned an MFA in Digital Arts and Animation in 2010 and have since been working as a freelance 3D Artist in NY. I specialize in Character Animation and Rigging but can easily work as a Maya Generalist too.

As a dreamy bookworm much of my adolescence was spent reading anything that came my way. My first real author was Mary Stewart and The Ivy Tree is one of my favorite books of all time.
